Clóvis Camargo was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, but currently resides in São Paulo. He has developed a distinctive visual aesthetic to express his ideas, incorporating various concepts and contexts while always emphasizing the uniqueness of his character’s diverse gazes.

For him, the art of portraying the gaze goes beyond aesthetics—it serves as a dialogue between what is revealed and what is hidden. Through these diverse expressions, Clóvis Camargo invites viewers to engage in self-reflection, questioning not only how they see themselves but also how they perceive others. His work encourages a deeper, more attentive, and expansive understanding of where our gaze leads us and whether we truly listen to it.

His paintings depict figures whose silent expressions awaken the hidden noise within us, creating a powerful and introspective experience.
