Richard Mittelstadt is a retired art educator and painter whose work invites viewers into a world of imagination, texture, and emotion. With a B.S. in Art Education and an M.A. in Studio Art from St. Cloud State University, Mittelstadt taught high school art for decades while exploring various media—watercolor, printmaking, photography, and mixed media. Now focused on acrylic painting, he blends representational, abstract, and non-objective styles using resist techniques and textured surfaces. His art aims to evoke mood and spark wonder, offering viewers a moment of enchantment and visual delight.
