“Winter’s Dream I” was created during the depths of a Minnesota winter, when the warmth, color, and vibrancy of summer can seem like a distant memory. Through this work, the artist sought to capture the essence of that memory. The airy upper space is dreamlike and expansive, while the denser lower portion grounds the composition in a garden of shifting light and color. The piece invites viewers to reflect on beauty, renewal, and the fleeting nature of the seasons.
Nichole Pelerine is a Hopkins, Minnesota-based abstract painter whose large-scale works are inspired by nature and bold color. Embracing intuition and exploration, she creates paintings that invite personal interpretation and dialogue. Her work was recently featured in the Arts North International Juried Exhibition.
