As an artist, the long view juxtaposes the distant smoky atmosphere against the strong colors of the foreground foliage. Nearby in this scene, a bench invites travelers to sit idly while taking in the landscape. Yet with years, the view is obstructed by the growing trees and shrubs requiring visitors to crane their necks for the lower views.
