Liubov Kuptsova was born in 1984 and was introduced to the world of art by her father, a professional artist and children’s book illustrator. From the age of five, she began studying in various art studios, later receiving formal training in sketching and painting at the School of Arts & Crafts No. 504 in Moscow, Russia.
Deeply inspired by masters such as Vincent van Gogh, René Magritte, and Ilya Repin, as well as by her teachers, Liubov developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in emotion, mood, and imaginative expression.
In 2016, she moved with her family to Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, where she and her husband, photographer and artist Vladyslav Durniev, established their own art studio. It was there that Liubov fully embraced professional painting.
Her work spans a range of subjects—including abstract compositions, whimsical animals, seascapes, landscapes, city scenes, florals, and human figures. At the heart of her artistic mission is the desire to convey feeling, soul, and a personal vision of the world through color and form.
Over the past seven years, Liubov's paintings have gained a growing international following, with collectors in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, France, Japan, and beyond.
She continues to paint actively, drawing inspiration from the beauty of nature, vibrant color, and the heartfelt responses of those moved by her work.
