Marlina Vera is a Latin American artist originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, now based in Florida. Known for her vibrant, expressive style that fuses elements of Cubism and Fauvism, her work celebrates color as a powerful conduit for beauty, passion, and life. Through bold compositions, Vera conveys her deeply held belief that love is the most essential force in the human experience.
Her artistic journey began early—participating in a children's art festival at the age of ten and writing poetry that paralleled her visual storytelling. She studied Interior Design at Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte in Ecuador before moving to New York City, where she refined her skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology, focusing on Textile and Surface Design. She also studied sculpture at the Art Students League of New York.
Marlina Vera's paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows in locations such as Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and Coral Springs, and her work is part of private collections across North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. For Vera, painting is both a spiritual and emotional necessity—a way to connect with her inner self and express joy, peace, and freedom through color and form.
