Oyeleye Feranmi (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist from Oyo Town, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he currently lives and works. Passionate about art from a young age, he developed his practice through years of self-study, research, and hands-on training—including a two-year internship with a practicing artist and two years as a studio assistant at Femo Art Studio.
Feranmi's work spans from abstraction to realism, often informed by Yoruba culture, nature, time, and human experiences. Using acrylic, charcoal, and ink, his art invites introspection, emotional dialogue, and cultural reflection.
His work has been featured in national and international exhibitions, including Beyond Transcendence (TAAG Gallery, New York, 2024) and the Life In My City Art Festival (Ibadan Regional Exhibition, 2023). Now a full-time studio artist, Feranmi continues to contribute to the global art conversation with a style rooted in both tradition and exploration.
“My art is a reflection of the intricacies of life, nature, and time—guided by the cultural richness of my Yoruba roots. I believe art should act as a manual for navigating life’s puzzles, sparking introspection and deeper understanding.” – Oyeleye Feranmi
